Steve Strode
Steve Strode graduated in 1999 with a first class Honours Bachelor of Education degree at Liverpool Hope University. Specialising in Art and Education he went on to work both from the studio, and within the community. Steve works for more than one Local Authority delivering art workshops and is also employed at H.M.P Liverpool, teaching art to inmates.
Despite being a northern lad, Steve’s inspiration comes from Cornwall and the expanse of delicate yet rugged coastline that swarms with memories of smugglers, myths and legends of days gone by. His work contains an almost ethereal quality, drawing the viewer into the painting.
Clare Money
Clare Money is a seascape artist living in Whitley Bay near Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1998 Clare moved back to the North East of England, where she was brought up and her recent work has focused on Northumberland. With it’s industrial wind farms and harsh windswept coastline, her inspiration isn’t hard to see. Sways of colour, dark brooding seas and skies dominate her work and yet each piece offers a glimpse of the sun casting a glow on the cold North Sea.
Often working directly outside, Clare believes that the full experience of the elements is central to capturing the atmosphere of a certtain place or time.
